Your first stop is Bazeos Tower, a former 17th-century monastery that today stands as an important monument and cultural landmark of Naxos. From there, you will drive through the fertile Tragea Valley, an area known for its olive groves, traditional villages and views towards Apanokastro.

The tour continues to Damalas, a small peaceful village with a traditional character. Here, you will visit the only remaining traditional pottery workshop of Naxos and enjoy a pottery demonstration. You will also see the restored traditional olive press and learn more about how olive oil was produced in the past, before taking a short walk towards the village square.

Your next stop is Chalki, one of the most elegant villages of inland Naxos, known for its neoclassical houses and charming atmosphere. You will have time to walk through its picturesque alleys, visit the traditional citron distillery and museum, and enjoy a coffee break in the village’s refined setting.

Afterwards, you will visit Panagia Drosiani, one of the oldest Byzantine churches in the Balkans, known for its unique frescoes and spiritual atmosphere.

The route continues with a photo stop at a viewpoint offering one of the most spectacular views over Tragea Valley. You will then cross Kynidaros village before reaching the final main stop of the tour.

The last stop is the Kouros of Melanes, an impressive unfinished statue from the 6th century BC, abandoned in an ancient marble quarry and considered a characteristic example of Archaic period sculpture.

Upon request, a lunch or snack break can be arranged at Kourounochori village, offering beautiful views over Melanes Valley.
